"Chariotoflove" (chariotoflove)

This is automotive content you won’t find anywhere else. It’s an Oppositelock exclusive.
This the kit that you find Velcro’d inconspicuously to the in side of the gen 1 K900 trunk. This thing is ridiculously complete, and my daughter’s research tells me that it is worth $50 if you try to buy one.
A complete list of contents is included below. It even has a thermometer, splint, and eye wash. But what you want to know is if the stuff is any good. Well, I had occasion to open it today for a scrape on my leg. I can tell you from this first look test drive that the band aid quality is top tier. This is Curad or Band Aid brand grade adhesive plastic rather than grocery store generic.
You can tell this is a car company that sweat the details for this luxury car.

Where was this when Hugz had his injury?

That’s packed !
I don’t even have any of those things (except pairs of scissors ) at home :)
Was that optional or included in all their cars?

Oh, Huggy was at home and therefore had access to a full surgical suite. In fact, I just replaced another eye recently.
He’s decided to keep it close though, just in case.

Seriously. And not superfluous. I sometimes need some of this on the road.

MSRP: $51. Good call on the price!

This reminds me of the first aid kit in my parent’s first gen LS400, from 30 years ago.

Was about to say that the Audi equivalent would cost double... maybe not !

Related (kinda ): I love how the 911's extra capacity fuel tank is only like a $200 upcharge for something like another 4 gallons.

Absolutely. Every car should have a first aid kit in it, and this is a good one.

Mmm , that’s nice. This is top-notch Oppo content.
Every car should have a good kit . I keep a very complete first aid kit in my car: https://www.adventuremedicalkits.com/mountain-series-weekender.html
I added an Isreali battle dressing, for worst-case scenarios : https://www.amazon.com/Israeli-Battle-Bandages-Dressing/dp/B00RP3TRGS?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace
This reminds me that I should check if everything is still in order ... I may need to refresh a few items.

That’s a nice kit! I have one of the ones below but it lacks certain things that I need to try and cram in there. Mostly a Sam splint is a very very good thing to have like in yours

And honestly, I suspect it would take a fair bit more to outfit one yourself from scratch.

I can see you are a disciple of safety. Or else you drive in high risk places. That’s a good kit you have.

That’s pretty good and at a decent price. Yes, the splint is a good addition, and I wouldn’t have thought of it.

Everything is probably fine, except maybe the antibiotic ointment packets. They may have expired, at least partly. The kit is fix or six years old, if it’s the original.

It’s maybe overkill, but I bought it when I was overlanding/offroading and I figured I’d best be prepared. I even bought a LifeStraw!

I don’t think it’s overkill when you’re over landing.
